Dyneema is a brand name for super strong fiber made of high molecular weight polyethylene. Dyneema cords are 7-15 times stronger than steel cords and at the same time much lighter.
A special feature of Marlin Dyneema line is the braided core. The interlacing of threads in the core increases resistance to tearing, and closely spaced winding fibers of the same Dyneema help to reduce the load on the core and increase its resistance to abrasion. Breaking strength is at least 140 kg. The tightly braided core and braid make it virtually watertight. The line retains its elasticity in water and is easy to control.
